Basic Disneyland TIps

#1: Plan Your Day

Disneyland has grown so much these last fifty years. It was Walt himself who stated that Disneyland will never be finished. There is always going to be something new, something better, at the park. This means that with each passing year, there is more and more to see and do in the Happiest Place on Earth.  With that said, to really get the most out of your stay at Disneyland you need to plan your days.  It doesn’t have to be a step-by-step timed outline of your entire day (although it wouldn’t hurt).  Just having a basic idea of what you wish to accomplish, see, and do in your day so that you can organize yourself will make a big difference.

The Disneyland Park is 85 acres, but is made to seem like it isn’t as large as it is. If you go through your day deciding what to go on or see just as you feel like it, you will most likely end up spending more time walking from place to place than actually enjoying the attractions.  So even though you’re extremely excited to be at Disneyland and can’t wait to get in and start getting on attractions, grab a map and the daily park schedule on your way through the gates and talk things over with your group.  Plan out a simple route of where you will go, see what attractions might be closed, decide what shows you want to see that day and at what times.  (Not all shows run everyday, so check the schedule out on your first day to be sure that you don’t miss anything you want to see.)  Try to hit all the rides in one area of the park before trotting off to another land.  You will be a better off for it and your feet will thank you too.
